Paperclip history-blog organizations

Date: 2026-07-10

Two live Paperclip companies were created as idle editorial scaffolds. Both use local models, a 3600-second run timeout, human publication review, and explicit AdSense/traffic-quality guardrails.

Epoch & Engine

  • Company: 42319686-b4a0-47ed-886d-266284ef27a0 (EPO)
  • Project: Epoch & Engine Magazine
  • Scope: science, technology, engineering, and medicine in human-history context
  • Goal: a trusted and profitable historical knowledge publication

Intimate Past

  • Company: 22464945-651c-4d24-8aa8-08df9ac57233 (INT)
  • Project: Intimate Past Journal
  • Scope: the history of sexuality, relationships, gender, family, reproduction, law, medicine, and culture
  • Monetization boundary: educational and non-explicit. Explicit/arousal-focused content, nudity, sexual services, and any sexual content involving minors are prohibited. Pages that fall under Google's sexual-content restrictions must not carry AdSense code.

Shared editorial organization

Each company has eight agents: Editor-in-Chief, Research-Historian, Science-Editor, Longform-Writer, SEO-Monetization, Fact-Checker, Web-Engineer, and Visual-Archivist. Fast editorial/QA roles use caudab580/qwen3-8b-b580; long-form roles use cauda30b/qwen3-30b; the web engineer uses cuda4090/qwen3-coder:30b. Editor and SEO roles can use the separate office-workstation officeb580/google/gemma-4-e4b lane; this is distinct from the in-cluster B580 at k8s-worker-home-1.

Agent display icons are declarative in apps/ai/paperclip-dispatcher/files/history-blog-orgs.json and reconciled by the Paperclip org CronJob. The mapping is role-based and identical in both companies: crown for the Editor-in-Chief, telescope for the historian, atom for the science editor, file-code for the writer, search for SEO, shield for fact checking, code for web engineering, and eye for visual archiving. That reconciler owns only the icon field and never changes an agent's status or work state.

The organizations are included in paperclip-dispatcher, but no initial issues were created. Creating the first editorial brief is the explicit start signal.
